We are the Longdon Family, David 39, Stephanie 38, Ebony 12, Hayden 8 and Jar Jar Binks the dog 4, we have decided to sell up everything and travel around Australia, we had a beautiful house and great job and have decided to give it all up to spend a year together as a family seeing this beautiful country Australia

The Wave Pool 16th May 2010

We went to the wave pool at Darwin a couple of times, the kids had a ball and it was really cheap

Crocasourus Cove!! 15th May 2010

Crocasourus Cove is in the centre of Darwin a great crocadile park with plenty to see and the kids could feed the crocadiles with fishing rods and they saw a snake eat a rat!!

Litchfield Park!!! 14th May 2010

We had a great day at Litchfield park with the Platt's we stopped to look at the giant ant hills and went for a swim in some of the waterholes, but poor Deb almost broke her toe getting out of the waterholes, it was purple by the end of the day, but she kept on walking what a trooper!!

The Platt's Arrive in Darwin 13th May 2010

The Platt's arrived in Darwin in the early ours of the morning and stayed at Oasis caravan park with us, which was great, we had a great day in the pool and then went to the Mindal Markets on the Thursday night.

We made it to Darwin May 11th 2010

Finally we have reached Darwin just in time to meet the Platts and Mum and Dad, gee is it hot up here!! we went to the Water park for the day and we let the kids have the Wii set up so they had a great time, we stayed at the Oasis Caravan Park about 25 minutes from town because they allowed dogs, great park and friendly owners.

Free Camp site near Adelaide River 10th May 2010

We got a bit tired after swimming at Edith Falls so we stopped at this free camp site near Adeilaide River, it was a beautiful spot, Dave decided to put the Yabbie pot in the river, he ended up catching 4 freshwater shrimp

Edith Falls 10th May 2010

On our way to Adelaide River we stopped at Edith Falls, what a beautiful spot, we all went swimming and we met up with some friends we had met along the way so we had heaps of fun.

Katherine Gorge 9th May 2010

We went to Katherine Gorge, but unfortunately there was no swimming due to crocadiles, we went for a walk to the look out and we saw our first crocadile from a distance, it is a beautiful place

Katherine and the Hot Springs 9th May 2010

We at stayed a couple of nights at a caravan park near the Hot Springs in Katherine, they were beautiful not as warm as Mataranka but a lovely tempeture in the hot weather and crystal clear.

Hayden and the Snake 8th May 2010

Ther was a Snake in the ladies toilets, and everyone from the park wanted to go and have a look, luckily it was a Childrens Python and not harmful Hayden was brave enough to have a hold he was so excited, Dave was just excited to see inside the ladies toilet(haha)

Mataranka Thermal Pool......beautiful!!! 7th May 2010

We stoped at the Mataranka Thermal Pools for a quick dip and decided to stay for a couple of nights it was so beautiful, there was Wallabies in the park and Peacocks that would come up to the van, and beautiful Green Tree Frogs and lots of Cane Toads, which Dave loved to kick, the Thermal Pools were so warm and crystal clear, we also went to visit Bitter Springs near by which was also beautiful.
